Class Style Descriptions
Aerial Silks: This class will build upper body and core strength, increase range of motion and flexibility, and develop your creativity, all while hanging from the silks. *Aerial Silks classes do not qualify for payment breaks with dance classes. Ask the office for more information regarding the Aerial Silks payment plans.
Ballet: The foundation of all dance styles, ballet builds strength, grace, discipline and correct body placement.
Hip Hop: Upbeat and structured form of street dance designed to teach coordination, strength, agility and endurance.
Jazz: Stylized and technical form of dance. Students fare best with a background in ballet.
Lyrical: Combination of ballet and jazz technique. More expressive in nature, relating to the spirit, nature, joy and freedom of the individual dancer.
Contemporary : Expressive dance that fuses modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet and explores the total movement potential of the body.
Tap : Teaches increasingly challenging combinations of steps that develop rhythm, musicality and coordination.
